Cyclone Yaas \| Very severe cyclonic storm Yaas makes landfall in Odisha The IMD said that the landfall process of very severe cyclonic storm Yaas has commenced at 9 a.m. The storm was centered about 50 km south-southeast of Balasore in Odisha, it said in a statement on Twitter. The process is expected to take 3 to 4 hours to complete. West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand had evacuated lakhs of people to storm shelters 2. Farmers protest today Samkyukt Kisan Morcha, an umbrella body of protesting unions, had announced that farmers will observe May 26 as ‘Black Day’ to mark the completion of six months. 3.
