1. Seven years of Modi-led NDA

Prime Minister Narendra Modi completes seven years in the top job of the country. The ruling-party has decided to refrain from celebrating the occasion. Instead, BJP leader will participate in Covid relief activities in 1 lakh villages

2. PM Modi to address the nation via Mann Ki Baat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address the nation through his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat. This will be the 77th episode of the show. The address will be streamed live at 11 a.m. on PM Modi’s official YouTube channel, as well as on PMO channel.

3. MP junior doctors threaten strike amid COVID-19 outbreak

Some 3,000 junior doctors in Madhya Pradesh have threatened to go on strike if their demands like free treatment for them and their families in case they contract COVID-19 are not met by today.

7. Coronavirus in India | Numbers and developments

India’s average daily test positivity rate (positive cases identified for every 100 tests) continues to decline. It was 8.4% on May 28, compared to the 12.5% recorded a week before. The number of positive coronavirus cases in Indiarecorded in the last 24 hours stands at 1,65,144, taking the tally in the country to 2,78,93,472 at the time of publishing this newsletter.
