1. SC seeks report on supply of 700 MT oxygen to Delhi

The Supreme Court on May 5 ordered the Centre to burn the midnight oil and prepare a "comprehensive plan" for the supply of 700 MT of life-saving oxygen to Delhi on a daily basis. The plan, which has to be handed over to the court in the form of a tabulated chart at 10.30 a.m. on May 6 should identify the sources of supply of oxygen to Delhi; the provisions for transport and logistical arrangements, including distribution points for oxygen.

2. No member of the U.S. delegation at risk, says official

After two members of the Indian delegation tested positive for COVID-19, a State Department official has said no member of the American delegation attending the G-7 meeting in the UK is at risk.

3. Mamata Banerjee imposes fresh curbs in West Bengal

Ms. Banerjee said that metro rail and state road transport services will be curtailed by 50% from Thursday, as part of the newly imposed set of restrictions.

4. Lockdown-like restrictions in Sikkim till May 16, borders to be sealed

Dr. Philipose Mar Christostm, Metropolitan Emeritus of the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian church, passed away on Wednesday. He was 104. Official sources said the Metropolitan Emeritus was ailing for a while and passed away at a private hospital in Kumaband around 1.15 a.m. The funeral will be held on Thursday.
